golf swing is a total-body athletic action. Every muscle,
ligament, and joint in the body moves as a unit to execute it.
Functional training - which integrates the entire
neuromuscular system, is the best program for training a golfer's
body. Our programs not only improve a golfer’s fitness but also
help to reduce the risk of injury and body discomfort.
The
Active Bodyworks Functional Golf program is used to develop
the physical functional attributes of golfers of any skill level.

Functional Fitness for Golfers
The goal of this clinic is to instruct golfers how to integrate
the entire neuromuscular system utilizing functional fitness. Our
full-body, twisting and posture improvement program uses
cross-specific exercises to develop the body to increase the
athletic motion of the golf swing. Golfers will learn beginner,
intermediate and advanced exercises.
(Time 3 hours)
Stretching for
Golfers
The goal of this clinic is to instruct golfers how to identify
their body imbalances and the appropriate stretches to use both on
and off the golf course. Emphasis on improvement of range of
motion within joints and muscles leads to a better balanced golf
motion. (Time 3 hours)
On Course
Hydration and Nutrition
Included in each
of our golf fitness clinics is our simple hydration and nutrition
guide to fueling your body and keeping energy levels up when
playing golf.
Golfers are given,
instructional photo cards of each exercise or stretch and a
fitness log. Golfers are also instructed when and how to take
these skills to the practice tee and onto the golf course.
